A journey through the Bike themed cafe's in India

Gypsy souls seldom rest. We wander on roads not because we are lost. We are on our way. But a cup of coffee or a bite along the way would be nice. To create a hangout for such Gypsy biker souls is not an easy task though. No wonder we don't have much biker cafe's or hangouts in India. Or do we have such cafes? Never bothered to check. Right? Well, I am here to tell you that a little bit of hope wouldn't be completely out of place. We do have a couple of them.

Chillax - A date with Harley Davidson

How about a date? Yes, when life gets on to you too much and all you want to do is take your bike and ride away. I am talking about such moments. How about a coffee date cuddled next to Harley Davidson?

As bikers we have to face a lot of issues, don't we? Speed ticketing, insomnia, incomparable passion for food and music are only some of them. And we don't see these as issues but other people does. Not our problem, huh? So when you are out on that midnight drive, wandering the streets of Queen Cochin, I am inviting you to a date with Harley Davidson.

Next to NH byepass, this Harley certainly beckons you through the glass panels. I am talking about the one and only Motor-cycle themed, better yet? 24-hours cafe in Cochin, Chillax. So whether you are a cochiite or a someone traveling through the NH at the moment. This biker place is your midnight ticket to heaven. With a warm menu going on all night and all day Chillax welcomes you to a platform where you can dance with your inner devil.

Chillax here offers a wide range of menu which includes Indian, Continental, Chinese and Arabic. Along with food you are provided with a little corner and a guitar and you can sing your heart out if you want. Rest assured 'no one's gonna yell at ya', because in this Irish themed cafe we are doing this the good old country barn beer parlor style. Quite long for a style, eh? But that's how we do it.

While the bypass cafe shows us the rugged wild side, The second branch of Chillax at The place, Pallimukku sports a mellowed down sophisticated ambiance fit for a family fun time. So do not just write Chillax off your list as a bachelor hangout. Best thing about Chillax, at The place is that it has a Handle Bar restaurant. A motor cycled themed Handle bar restaurant set in a unique Techno-electronic feel. Well, what more do you need sunny?

You might as well ask who's the man behind. Well Kiran M.V here, who prefers to be called Kiran, is a biker himself and owns more than enough Harleys (and I am jealous). Being an MBA graduate from University of Pune, Kiran's love for Harley Davidson began back in 2002 and he ended up creating the only motorcycle theme cafe in Kerala. God bless the guy, we know how long we have waited for these. With international bike brands Triumph and Harley at both ends of NH bypass, all we needed was a biker Cafe between them. There we got it.

Wooden paneled walls these Cafe-restaurants displays the best of riding pictures for us freaks. The Fat-boy Harley Davidson 1600 may even wink at you while you're having a good time, who knows?
