DSK Benelli TNT 25 to Be Launched on December 18

The DSK Benelli TNT 25 will be launched on December 18 in Pune, a source close the management at DSK Motowheels has confirmed. The TNT 25 will be the least expensive Benelli motorcycle on sale in India and is expected be priced below 2 lakh.



Styling and design of the Benelli TNT 25 is comparable to any modern naked street motorcycle, with a sculpted fuel tank, split seat, upside down fork, monoshock rear suspension and a modern instrument panel displaying plenty of data. The Benelli TNT 25 will be powered by a four stroke, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled 249.2cc engine delivering output of 24.1hp power at 9,000rpm. The engine is mated to a six-speed transmission and the top speed of the bike is expected to hit around 145km.



DSK Benelli currently sells a range of superbikes in India, ranging from the TNT 300, TNT 600i, TNT 600GT, TNT 899 and the TNT 1130R. Once launched, the TNT 25 will be an important product for DSK Benelli in India, competing in the entry level performance bike segment against the likes of the Honda CBR250R, KTM Duke 390 and even the Mahindra Mojo.

Pune-based DSK Motowheels, in collaboration with Benelli, brings in these superbikes as CKD units, assembling them here at DSK Motowheels' plant in Maharashtra. DSK Motowheels has been slowly and steadily increasing sales of Benelli bikes in India, with impressive growth numbers and targeting over 4,000 unit sales this fiscal. Focussing on providing world class service to its customers, DSK Motowheels is now targeting Tier II and Tier III cities like Raipur, Nashik, Nagpur, Mangalore and Mysore.

Chinese-owned Italian company Benelli showcased its new range of bikes at the EICMA show in Milan in October this year. Some of these bikes are expected to be showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo in Delhi, and a few models are expected to be launched in India as well, sometime later in 2016.
