The Tigers from Triumph have begun to roar its way across the Indian tracks! The company finally brought out its Tiger XRx and Tiger XCx at an official launch ceremony in Delhi.
The manufacturer had revealed the bike at the 2014 motorshow initially. Later on, the bikes were once again showcased at the 2015 India Bike Week which was held at Goa. These bikes comes in four variants internationally, going by the names XR, XC, XRx and XCx, of which only the top-end XRx and XCx would be hitting the Indian shores.
Both the Tiger brothers get similar powertrains consisting of 800cc in-line DOHC liquid cooled three-cylinder engines, which can give a maximum power output of 95PS at 9300rpm and a peak torque of 79Nm at 7850rpm. As a standard feature, these bikes get the cruise control which is the first in the segment. They also feature traction control, switchable ABS and the ride-by-wire innovation. However, to add some difference to these models, the Triumph Tiger 800 XRx is suited for road-riding while the XCx is designed for off-course rides. Also the Triumph Tiger 800 XCx gets bigger spoked wheels of 21-inches that is required for rigidity, better ground clearance and adjustable suspension.
