Benelli TNT 899
This recent launch has also witnessed the Benelli TNT 899 finding its way out of its veils to the showrooms of DSK Motowheels in India. This mid-range performance naked bike is one of the most anticipated bikes that are to be made available from the collaboration of DSK with Benelli.
With the flagship model from Benelli, the TNT 1130R also being made available this time in india, it is to be questioned if the TNT 899 is a design-twin of its flagship brother. The muscular design of the bike can be seen on its chiselled fuel tank, stocky mudguard, stylish frontlamps, chunky tank shrouds and tubular frame.
The bike also gets an under-seat exahust system that resembles very much to that of the TNT 1130R, which would make you want to check the badge bearing the bike's model name once again. On the designing side, the only difference betweeen these two bikes is the absence of carbon fibre elements in same proportion and dimensions on both the bikes.
Another obvious difference between both the bikes is the engine itself, which can be seen in its name. The TNT 899 uses the 899 cc in-line three cylinder liquid-cooled engine, which is capable of churning out a peak power of 122 PS at 9500 rpm and a maximum torque of 88 Nm at 8000 rpm. This poses some serious competiton to its rival brands such as Kawasaki Z800 and the Triumph Street Triple. Key Features
- 899 cc in-line three cylinder liquid-cooled engine

Benelli TNT 1130R
Along with the rest of the usual launches of Benelli bikes in collaboration with DSK Motowheels in India, Benelli has decided to roll out the TNT 1130R in the country, which is the racing variant of the standard TNT 1130.
The styling elements of the 1130R have drawn elements from the standard variant and looks much like a twin of the 899 cc bike launched in India. The body of this bike has all traits of masculinity with an aggressive looking body design that would definitely make people to stop doing what they were doing and take a look at this bike as it races across the road. The sporty and elegant lines stay highlighted in the bike with its body frame that stands out with its exposed frame. And though the manufacturer has Chinese origins, the bike looks essentially Italian.
On the mechanical side of things, the 1130R gets powered by an in-line triple 1130 cc engine that is very efficient in churning out a maximum power of 155.5 bhp and 120 Nm of peak torque. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed transmission with a dry clutch accompanied by an anti-skipping device and hydraulic control to ensure an easy shifting of gears during the ride. Moreover, the additional vibrations that come out during the ride are damoened out by a balancing countershaft.
The exhaust system seem sto be too complicated a design, and can be essentially treated as an art work which manifests itself all round the engine, moves out and then comes out towards the tail, with its end merged into a racing endpipe. This perfectly blends in with the tail lamp and the number plate, resulting in a perfect design on the whole. Moreover, additional carbon fibre elements ensure that the bike's weight stays constant at 205 kg.
The extra fittings on this bike include a soft-luggage kit, carbon fibre wheels, carbon chain casing, frame sliders, racing filler cap and semi-rigid panniers. Being a rough bike on the whole, the bike doesn't look at all like the refined models from its competitors, and is very much exclusive in terms of the design and styling of the bike.
Adding to the competition of the other bikes in the same league, this bike is priced at an estimated price range of Rs 9.25 lakhs – Rs 10 lakhs.
