TVS Jupiter Scooter Spied, Launching on 16th September

A good news for all TVS fans that the Chennai based two-wheeler firm is likely to launch it's much anticipated scooter, the Jupiter on 16th September, 2013. The story was leaked when the scooter was caught red-handed while having its final test.



The all new scooter, Jupiter, shares the platform of its sibling, the Wego, which is currently running as a successful model for the company since its launch. However, the lack of updates in due course of time caused to dip the market share of the company. Hopefully, the Jupiter will do the business for the firm in the scooter class.



Along with the platform, the Jupiter is likely to share the same heart of the Wego. That's the Jupiter will be powered by 109.7cc, 4-stroke, single cylinder, air cooled, OHC8 engine, which powers the Wego. It is capable to deliver a top power of 8 PS @ 7500 rpm and a top torque of 8 NM @ 5500 rpm. The machine will retain the same V-matic transmission as well.



If the Wego is the scooter which showcases some masculine character, the Jupiter stays for feminine freaks. So the Jupiter is expected to be easier to handle especially in buzzed city traffics. It is likely to be priced around Rs. 50,000.
