Looks
The Jupiter is sporty rather than being handsome. The designers have done a great job to craft such sparking machine to the masculine world. The 12 inch black alloy wheel might be the highlight of the Jupiter, when it sizzles through streets. So far the Indian scooter industry hadn't seen blacked wheels in a scooter, but here, TVS has done it! The Twin City Lights, body-attached front turn indicators, a front air hole, a chrome finished cover over the exhaust, 3D logos of TVS and Jupiter make the scooter a premium stuff in the entry class. Today, we don't have to depend upon a single brand, market has changed. The competition is stronger and only good machines can pick up the market. Certainly, the Jupiter is one among.

Engine, and Performance
The Jupiter shares the same heart that powers the Wego. It comes with a 109.7cc, 4 Stroke, Single cylinder, Air Cooled,OHC engine, which is capable to deliver a max power of 5.88 KW @ 7500 rpm and a max torque of 8 Nm @ 5500 rpm, which is more than good enough as far as a commuter scooter is concerned. Though the engine of the Jupiter is not smoother as the engines of Honda, Hero, Yamaha, and Suzuki, this scooter never dissatisfies. It's offered with least vibration even in top revs. The expected top speed of the Jupiter is 80 kph.

Features
Yup! I must say you should choose it if you're considering an entry level scooter. Damn! It's loaded with a lot of features, which can hardly be seen any machines in the same class.
Econometer: It allows you to choose between two modes, Eco and Power, while driving. In the instrument cluster, an indicator each for each mode has been placed. When the throttle goes higher, the orange light glows and when the scooter moves within the economical speed, the green light glows.
Pass-by switch: This helps a lot in nights and in no-horn areas. It's the first time that the pass-by switch is found on a scooter in the Indian scooter industry.
Tubeless tyres: Having larger, durable, stylish and lightweight 90/90-12, tubeless tyres in both ends, safe journey is assured with the scooter.
Telescopic Suspension: Just like seen in motorcycles. It enhances a next level scooter with least distractions even in rough roads. Its cushioning effect is better and smoother as well.
Gas charged rear shock absorber: Back pain is just a common problem for scooter riders. Getting installed with Unit Swing with Spring Loaded Hydraulic and Gas Filled rear suspension, the Jupiter gives a better experience to the pillion rider and of course decrease back pain to some extent.
Low fuel Indicator: It alarms with red blink when fuel goes down and warns you to refuel as soon as possible.
Retractable Bag Hooks: It allows to hook up your office and college bags very simply. These hooks are placed very appropriately and ensures a good space to carry even a cooking gas cylinder.
External fuel fill: It's a great feature by TVS. With this the rider can refuel the tank without getting up from the seat..
Twin City Lights: It's for safety more than sportiness. The twin city lights ensure you a safe ride in foggy weather, dusty atmosphere, in dusk and dawn.
Large Under Seat Storage: A large 17 liters under seat storage helps you to carry a full faced helmet inside it. And you can even load much more stuffs there. It's very useful.
LED Tail Lamps: It's not just stylish and freaky. But, it lasts long and consumes only less battery.
Accessible Kick Start: You can simply sit and start the scooter when the battery is down.
Key Shutter Lock: Security of your scooter is built here. Also to lock and unlock handle, under seat storage, and fuel-filler. The machine is switched on and switched off here only.

Ergonomics and Riding Comfy
Preloaded with Advanced Telescopic front suspension and Unit Swing with Spring Loaded Hydraulic and Gas Filled rear suspension, the shock absorbing works extremely well comparing other machines in the class. The ergonomics seems nothing but the same seen in the Wego. The larger tubeless tyres and longer seat do a good job for city and highway commuting.

Mileage
62 kmpl is what the firm offers under standard condition. Same is the mileage the company offers with his sister, the Wego. However, 47 is only possible by the Wego. So we can expect no different story from the Jupiter.

Pricing
Rs. 44,200 makes it one of the most valuable scooters in the class. And further with additional loaded features, the Jupiter seems to be the most value for money scooter in the entry level commuter category. You know? The Jupiter is cheaper than Honda Activa, and Maestro, the right rivals of the machine.

Verdict
You may admire it, if you need features rather than brand value. If you value the money you spend for buying something, then the Jupiter might be the scooter for you. Just look at the features the scooter is attached with. They are really amazing and make the scooter really amazing too. There is power and smoothness too. Quality is also expected as it's just proven through the Wego. Great fuel efficiency is also there. And it's priced very affordably and competitively. What else you need?
