Festive time has received all the possible brush up with a bunch of lively bikes and scooters adding color to the bike market. We have around a dozen models to thrill us on the road this time including the luxurious limited editions from Vespa and a cruiser from Triumph. While we see some of them playing at the top of their game, some have decided to come down a bit.
Yamaha Fazer FI V2
The last to hit the market and first to hit this list is Yamaha Fazer FI, the 149 cc bike with 4 stroke, air cooled, single cylinder engine claims that it has 14% fuel efficiency compared to the earlier models. Fazer FI V2 comes to us at a market price of Rs.83,850.
Yamaha FZ FI V2
FZ FI V2 has hit the market much before Fazer FI V2 featuring the brand new blue core technology for the first time with almost the same engine of 149 cc. This was the first model to be light weight in the entire FZ series. FZ FI V2 is priced at Rs.76,250
Yamaha FZS FI V2
Yamaha FZS FI V2 features a 149 cc engine much like the other models. Wide tubeless radial tires, LCD console with ECO, Aluminum grab bars etc are the other remarkable features. Though all the three has been put forward as upgraded versions, we can see that the engine capacity has come down from 153cc to 149 cc along with the cut down 3 kg in the overall weight of these bikes. It is priced Rs.78,250 (Delhi Ex-showroom)
Triumph Thuderbird LT
With LT, we have the looks and whole range of accessories that adds to the whole feel of it. Touring windscreen, auxiliary spot lamps, detachable leather saddle bags with 21.5 litre storage space and pillion back rest are some of them. As for the technical part, LT is equipped with the same 1699 cc, Liquid cooled, DOHC parallel twin engine as seen in Thunderbird storm.
Vespa Elegante
Vespa Elegante is expected to arrive with a 4 stroke, air cooled 125 cc engine like Vespa VX 125, with 9.91 bhp power and 10.6 Nm of peak Torque. While the scooter has Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) gear box, this model will not be having the fuel injection feature.
Vespa Esclusivo
Exclusivo is the limited edition model of Vespa VX125 automatic scooter. Both Exclusivo and Elegante from Piaggio are limted edition models this time in India while keeping up with the adoration that Indian market has for Vespa models.
Suzuki Gixer 155
Starting at a price range of Rs.73,430 (ex showroom Delhi), Suzuki launched their new 155 cc bike on September. With Yamaha and other bikes backing out to 149cc engines, the 155 cc has turned all in advantage for Gixer 155. It comes in line with the street sport bike versions of the Yamaha FZ series.
KTM RC 200 and 390
The Australian bike giant is all game this time. Playing along with its Indian partner Bajaj, KTM brings two super sporties into market. RC 200 AND RC 390 both are stylized for India and following the lead of Duke 200 and Duke 390. RC 200 is equipped with a 4 stroke, single cylinder, liquid cooled 199cc engine while RC 390 the aggressive one here gets a 373.2 cc engine with a 6 speed gear box.
Eider Ruddy
Eider Ruddy is our another road buddy here luring the bikers with glamor and style. Priced at Rs.73,000 (ex showroom Delhi) It comes with a 149 cc 4 stroke single cylinder engine.
Mahindra Centuro Rockstar
Centuro Rockstar from Mahindra was launched in August with an Engine displacement of 106.70cc. To brag it has an intelligent MCI 5 Engine, sparkling alloy wheels, Distinctive golden ribs, advanced virla battery etc.
Mahindra Rodeo UZO 125
Mahindra Rodeo UZO 125 too was launched in August at Rs.50,433 (Ex showroom Ernakulam). This dashing 125cc scooter from Mahindra has front fueling and 22 litre storage under-seat as plus points. It comes with additional features like mobile charging point, Four in one Anti-theft key and side and safety alarm.
TVS Scooty Zest
Scooty Zest is a stylized version of Scooty itself with 109.7cc engine displacement and 19 litre under-seat storage. Stainless steel mufler guard and econometer are some of the other perks. This model is so far the only one with largest under-seat storage. Overall mileage is around 62 kmpl.
Hero Splendor Pro Classic
For those who were bored with all the mileage and economy game with not much being given on style, Splendor launched cafe racer model Pro classic with extensive chrome detailing to provide a classic look.Sporty handle bar and Round head light adds to the indian classic nostalgia all the way back to Yamaha RX100.
