The Saluto is a budget friendly bike from Yamaha. The company has offered this motorcycle to make commuting for the city dwellers a very easy affair. To make the Saluto a very attractive motorcycle, Yamaha gone through a very minimalistic yet attractive body design. The design is made in mind to attract the charms of daily office goers and other working class.
The Yamaha Saluto comes with a 125 cc Air cooled, 4-stroke, SOHC, 2-valve engine that has the power to produce a maximum power of 8.3PS @ 7000 rpm and a maximum torque of 10.1 Nm @ 4500 rpm. The engine is mated to a 4- speed gearbox. The 125cc engine of the Saluto uses Yamaha blue core technology, thus making the engine to give out superior mileage without any compromise on performance. The overall mileage of the Saluto is 78 km/litres.
The Yamaha Saluto has a Diamond type frame. The frame is very rigid and this make it easy for this motorcycle to move through traffic and highways with maximum comfort. The suspension setup for this bike is done with Telescopic suspension at the front, while the rear suspension is done with a swing arm with coiled suspension. The braking of this bike is done with Mechanical leading trailing drum brake at the front and rear. The Saluto has a good braking system which makes it easy for this bike to move through stop and go traffic very easily.
The Saluto is very light in weight and has only 112kg, the bike has very less maintenances. This compact motorcycle could be used in cities and villages for day to day use. The suspension setup and braking ensures nimble ride across cities and it can do some occasional highway ride also. Overall, the Saluto is very good bike in the commuter segment.
