The second run of Suzuki was bit sorrowful. They couldn't achieve what Honda or Yamaha did in the Indian two wheeler industry for the years. Later, the arrival of Gixxer range of motorcycles has changed the fortunes for this Japanese brand. By following the footprints of Gixxer, Suzuki soon launched the full faired version of this 150cc bike in the form of Gixxer SF. The Suzuki Gixxer SF has been evolved from the mighty GSX-1000R superbike with the heavily tested aerodynamics and distinctive Suzuki graphics.
The Design
The SF is one of the eye-catchy full faired bike in the market. Besides the faired kit, it is basically the same standard Gixxer with almost no cosmetic changes. This Gixxer SF has been developed in the same wind tunnel where, Suzuki Hayabusa and other high-end GSX models are tested. Therefore, the aerodynamics of this motorcycle truly outstanding. It also generate a solid amount of downforce, which provides a firm control for the rider over the vehicle. Morevoer, Suzuki has introduced the famous Metallic Triton Blue which is a MotoGP inspired livery. SF shares the headlamp cluster with standard Gixxer along with seats, grab rails and sculpted fuel tank.
Features
It gets a smart digital instrument console found in the all Gixxer motorcycles. This full digital meter displays gear position, RPM indicator, LCD trip meter and programmable gear shift indicators. The dual outlet type exhaust comes in aluminium cover for improved mileage and low noise. It also features stylish LED tail lights which is compact and well integrated with the tail section of the bike.
Engine
This Gixxer variant uses the same 155 cc, single cylinder, air-cooled, SOHC mill that is found in standard Gixxer. It also continues to deliver the same amount of 14 Nm torque @ 6000 rpm while there is slight improvement in the power generation with 14.8 Ps @ 8000 rpm due to the aerodynamic influence. The engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox for optimum power delivery, which is capable enough to hit 125 kmph on a straight tarmac. With 63 kmpl of mileage and 12 litres of petrol it is capable enough for long distance cruising. In order to reduce the weight, the engine is manufactured using ultra light weight aluminium components.
Suspension, Chassis and Braking
At the rear part, it features a 7-step adjustable mono shock suspension for added stability and flexibility. At the front, 41mm large diameter telescopic forks deals with the suspension department. The bike is built around single downtube frame chassis, which is used in all the Gixxer bikes. The stopping force of this particular motorcycle is determined by 266 mm disc brake at the front and 130 mm disc brake at the rear-end. The 17-inch wheel size provides a superior control over the bike on and off the road.
Conclusion
SF is priced about 10000 INR more than the standard Gixxer and it tops the latter only by means of some hike in the power generation and the top speed. Both the bikes are said to be the class leading models in terms of mileage and performance. Moreover, the Gixxer SF is the most fuel efficient and affordable full faired 150 cc motorcycle in the country.

its primarily a gixxer with a fairing. now what it does is. increases weight by 4-5 kgs. but increases the aero dynamics of the bikes by leaps and bounds which you can feel at higher speeds. looks also awesome, esp the racing blue edition.
you may not believe but mileage is close to 55-60, way above its rivals in r15 and cbr 150.
what is disappointing is, its not oil cooled, its air cooled only
r15 has one of the best braking in any bike in india, gixxer brakes at high speed i have not tested so cant comment on that.
But the only draw back is the front look. It is not sporty . it will be better if it have dual head lights.
Really awsome vehicle. Giving more than 40 mileage. went upto 115km. could have pushed more. just pulled back. No vibration very good to handle in traffic 🚥 also.
