Suzuki has just launched their 2017 editions of the Gixxer and Gixxer SF in India. The two popular and best selling models of Suzuki India now gets a BS-IV compliant engine and AHO headlamps as a part of latest emission norms of the country. The new Gixxer and SF also features a newer clear lens LED tail lamp as a cosmetic upgrade.
The Suzuki Gixxer receives a new graphics, which consists of a new larger 'Gixxer' logo, running across the fuel tank. It is available in Pearl Mira Red and Glass Sparkle Black, Metallic Triton Blue and Glass Sparkle Black, and Plain Glass Sparkle Black also. Except the Glass Sparkle Black, all models are factory fitted with rear disc brakes. The disc brake variant is priced at Rs 80,528 and drum brake model is priced at Rs 77,452 (both are ex-showroom New Delhi pricing).
Like the Gixxer, SF also features new graphics along with the large 'Suzuki' logo across the fuel tank fender. SF too is available in the same paint jobs of the Gixxer. The Gixxer SF Fi variant features Metallic Triton Blue and Metallic Matte Black with Metallic Matte Black colours only. The SF is available at a pricing of Rs 89,659 and SF Fi is priced at Rs 93,499 (ex-showroom New Delhi).
Mechanically, nothing has changed from the earlier model as it also draws power from the same 154.9cc, single cylinder, air cooled engine which is capable enough to deliver a top power of 14.5 bhp and a peak torque of 14Nm. Engine is meshed with a 5-speed gearbox and it uses telescopic suspension upfront and monoshock suspension at the rear end.
