Honda Shine

Complete details of Shine Motorcycle

Launched in India in 2010.

Honda Shine is one of the best-selling bikes in India, particularly in the highly competitive 125cc class. It faces stiff competition from its rival, the Hero Glamour, but stands out with its superior power and reliability. This motorcycle has become a top choice for the working class due to its impressive performance and fuel efficiency. However, one downside of the Honda Shine is its size, which may not be suitable for taller riders, as it can appear small and less comfortable for them.

The Honda Shine is equipped with an air-cooled, 4-stroke SI engine that delivers a maximum power of 7.55 KW at 7500 rpm and a maximum torque of 10.54 Nm at 5500 rpm. Its 4-speed transmission ensures smooth gear shifts and optimal performance. The bike features a front disc brake with a diameter of 240mm, providing effective stopping power, while the rear brake is a drum type with a diameter of 130mm. The front and rear suspensions are spring-loaded hydraulic types, offering a comfortable ride on various terrains. With a fuel tank capacity of 10.5 liters, the Honda Shine provides a decent range for everyday commuting.

Overall, the Honda Shine is a reliable and efficient motorcycle in the 125cc segment. Its powerful engine and excellent fuel economy make it an ideal choice for riders seeking a balance between performance and practicality. However, taller individuals might find the bike's smaller size less accommodating. Despite this, the Honda Shine maintains its popularity in the Indian market, thanks to its strong reputation and attractive features.

honda shine is a good bike.well pick up and millege is good my bike is 68 kms per liter
By on 08-07-2014
Very disappointed with its performance. Only good for uncles, definitely not for younger lot. Post speed 50, the engine gets angry and starts vibrating. Good only for local errands to run below 50. Rear tyre too slim. Slipped off several times. Run over 30000km, only had air filter and chain kit replaced. So low on maintenance.

One of the sad part of two wheeler segment.
comes for re-bore in 30000km, majority of the bikes giving either white smoke or black smoke due to engine issues. body also not too much of corrosion resistant. and customer care is also not good.
