Honda Gold Wing GL1800

The Gold Wing GL1800 is a touring type motorcycle from Honda. The Gold Wing is designed to be a very comfortable touring machine that could melt miles like no other. Honda has included many features in the Gold Wing to make it very pleasurable vehicles for touring. With its Superbike-level power, incredible smoothness and revolutionary engine, the Gold Wing is a motorcycle that offers a host of technical innovations that made this tourer an icon for leisure touring and riding for people around the globe.



The Gold Wing comes with a 1832.00 cc Liquid-Cooled, 4-Stroke, 12-Valve SOHC Flat-6 engine that has the capacity to produce maximum power of 126.48 HP @ 5,500 rpm and a maximum of 167Nm torque @ 4,000 rpm. The engine is FI electronic fuel injected and comes mated to a 7-speed forward and reverse DCT gearbox system. The Gold Wing has a very big fuel tank of 21.1 litres that ensures that the bike will have a very good riding range. This tourer usees enclosed shaft as its final drive.



The Gold Wing GL1800 comes with a diamond; Triple-box-section aluminium Twin-Spar frame. The suspension duties are performed with 45mm cartridge fork with anti-dive system having a travel of 4.8 inches, while the rear suspension works is done with Pro Arm single-side swingarm with Pro-Link single shock with computer-controlled spring preload adjustment having a rear travel of 4.1 inches. The braking system of the Gold Wing is done with dual full-floating 296mm discs with CBS three-piston calipers at the front while the rear suspension work is done with single ventilated 316mm disc with CBS three-piston caliper. The overall weight of the Gold Wing GL1800 is pretty big and it comes at 379kg.
