Honda Activa 4G

Activa is the very first scooter to be launched by Honda Motorcycles in India. This 110cc two-wheeler has changed the entire scooter culture of the country. It was launched in 2000 and after 17 years of its successful run, the fourth generation of this model Activa 4G has been recently launched in the Indian market with some minor changes in the interior and exterior of the scooter.



The Engine
It features the same popular and trustworthy 109.2cc, air cooled engine found in all the Activa series. This engine has been treated with the Honda Eco Technology (HET) feature to enhance its performance and improve the fuel efficiency. The engine churns out a maximum power of 8 bhp @ 7500 rpm and a peak torque of 9 Nm @ 5500 rpm. It can hit a top speed of 83kmph without any notable wobbles or vibrations. The V-matic type gearbox transmits the power from engine to the wheels.

The Looks
The new Activa 4G looks similar to its predecessor Activa 3G in all means. New edgy dynamic front cover is the only cosmetic changes for this new scooter. At the rear side new broad tail lamps with clear winkers gives a graceful looks to the scooter. Honda has retained their famous full metal body kit for this scooter. A new 3D 'Activa' emblem with 'HET BS-IV' sticker alongside has taken place at the sides of the scooter. Honda has used a new set of HET tyres for this scooter, which has been specially designed for the new model. This tubeless tyres claims to have long life and offers comfort rides.



Features
An underseat mobile charging socket, AHO featured headlamp, Combi Brake System with equaliser, refreshing instrument panel and CLIC mechanism are the added features on this 4G scooter.



Suspension and Braking
Spring loaded hydraulic type suspension system is used at both the ends of this scooter. This reliable suspension system has been using in the Activa series for ages. Stopping force of this two-wheeler depends on 130mm drum brakes at front and back wheels, now accompanied with CBS braking for enhanced and safety. This braking system works by braking both the wheels when we depress the rear brake lever, which prevents skidding of the vehicle.

Conclusion
World's Best selling two-wheeler has moved to its fourth generation with all new BS-IV compliant engine and AHO feature. No changes has been made to the entire fit and finish of the scooter. Therefore, the Activa is expected to continue its success run for the coming years as well.
