The primary design of the scooter itself targets male riders. It's wide and masculine body kit does not suit the lady drivers. From the desing and style point of view, the scooter have a massive road presence, even though it is using the same engine and chassis of Hero Duet (much smaller scooter).
In order to make it as a premium scooter, Hero has used many cosmetic outfits as compared to other scooters from Hero. As a part of weight reduction, the body is made of plastic materials. Fit and finish of this scooter is superb when compared to other scooters in the market.
From the front, clear large headlight with black windscreen gives a polite appeal. Turn indicators are positioned below the headlamp casing on the front fascia. High quality switchgears are used with an addition of pass light switch. Moving on to rear section, LED taillight gives a premium touch to the tail section. Other important features are titanium coated exhaust muffler and new matte paint scheme adds the premium effect of the scooter even more.
The instrument cluster of the scooter is part analog and part digital with speedometer, fuel gauge reading, clock, service reminder and side stand indicator. External fuel refilling port, 22 litre underseat storage space, mobile charging socket and immobilizer are some of the extra features of this scooter.
Suspension, Braking and Chassis
The scooter is built around high rigidity under bone type frame, which gives a commanding strength and dynamics for the scooter. A conventional telescopic type hydraulic shock absorber is used upfront and unit swingarm with spring loaded hydraulic damper is used at the rear. This type of suspension is used in almost all kinds of scooters and especially on Hero scooters. Maestro Edge uses a 12-inch and 10-inch alloy wheels with tubeless tyres, which gives good handling and ride quality. And the stopping power of the scooter is determined by drum brakes with integrated braking at both the ends.
