A very powerful 1,198 cc Testastretta 11°, L-Twin cylinder, 4 Desmodromically actuated valves per cylinder, Dual spark, Liquid cooled engine commemorates the making of this Ducati. The Monster 1200 produces a maximum power of 147 bhp @ 9,250 rpm and a 124 Nm maximum peak torque @ 7,750 rpm. Electronic fuel injection system with full Ride-by-Wire system and an equivalent diameter 56 oval throttle bodies comes as the fuel injection system in the Monster 1200.
The Exhaust system of the Monster 1200 comes with a lightweight 2-1-2 system with catalytic converter and 2 lambda probes, twin stainless steel mufflers with aluminium covers and end caps. A Tubular steel Trellis frame attached to the cylinder heads of the Monster 1200 sets it in dynamic motion with full control over sharp edges and corners with utmost stability and control.
A Progressive linkage with Sachs fully adjustable monoshock, aluminium single-sided swingarm forms the rear suspension of this bike with Pirelli Diablo Rosso III tyres come as stock at the front and rear. A 320mm semi-floating disc, radially mounted Brembo Monobloc brakes with Bosch cornering ABS comes as standard equipment on the front and a 245 mm disc, 2-piston calliper, with Bosch cornering ABS as standard equipment comes as the rear braking system. The Ducati Monster 1200 has a wet weight of 213 kg.
