Ducati has been consistently waving with new-new machines in the recent days. Earlier, the firm had hinted about the coming of the Superbike 899 Panigale, and the Ducati 1199 Superleggera by slightly disclosing the news. And the firm had also mentioned about an all new Monster variant. However, there was no clue even about the name of the machine under the Monster family. Well, they are the Monster 1200 S, and the Monster 1200.
And the story is that at the EICMA event, in Milan, Ducati has officially revealed all bunch of the Monster 1200 S, Monster 1200, 899 Panigale, and the 1199 Superleggera.
This is the first time ever that Ducati is spotting out the Monster 1200 and the Monster 1200 S. Being listed under the iconic brand name, Monster, both the machines give a sky-high expectation.
The Monster 1200 is powered by a 1198cc Testastretta 11° DS engine, which is capable to deliver a peak power of 135 hp and a peak torque of 87 lbs. ft.. Meanwhile, the Monster 1200 S is a bit more powerful one which is mated with the same heart, but burns out a peak power of 145 hp and a peak torque of 92 lbs. ft.
The Monster 1200 is priced at $13,495 (~ Rs. 8,35,000), and the 1200 S at $15,995 (~ Rs. 9,90,000) in the US market.
