Bajaj Chetak 4S was the successor of iconic Indian scooter the Chetak. This model was launched in the year 2002. It was said to be the revived edition of older Chetak, but failed to impress the market with the old boring body featuring a whole new 4-stroke engine.

The scooter sits on an impressive 125cc, forced air-cooled engine with a power delivery of 8 bhp and a peak torque of 9.4 Nm. Engine is mated with a 4-speed manual, constant mesh gearbox. It features a double acting shock absorber with anti-drive link at the front and rear. Both the ends come with a variable rate coil. The braking force of this scooter lies with a 150 mm and 130 mm drum brake with shoes for front and rear respectively.

The Chetak 4S weighs 112kg and 1275 long (wheelbase). It has a 4.5 litre fuel tank and with a good fuel efficiency it suits long distance commuting as well. Like the standard Chetak, this one also doing good in the second-hand sale market.
