With much surprise, Benelli has introduced a retro styled cruiser at the EICMA 2017. The classic looking modern cruiser, Imperiale 400 has all the nostalgia and feel of classic motorcycles from the past. The retro-inspired motorcycle showcases attractive paint jobs, a very cruiser inspired seating position, stylish headlamp and looks way more like a direct rival to the Royal Enfield motorcycles.
The Imperiale 400 is powered by a 373.5 cc single-cylinder, SOHC engine that produces a maximum power of 19 bhp at 5500 rpm and maximum peak torque of 28 Nm at 3500 rpm. The engine uses fuel-injection technology and comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The Imperiale 400 will be Euro 4 compliant and comes with ABS as standard fitment.
The Imperiale 400 showcase a very attractive teardrop shaped tank, chromed fenders comfortable split seats, and a stylish twin-pod instrument cluster. This modern looking retro cruiser gets a rigid double cradle, steel tubular frame. The overall weight of the motorcycle comes at 200 kg.
The Imperiale 400 will face huge competition in the market and yet buyers who are looking outside for a retro-styled motorcycle other than from Royal Enfiled will be pleased to have this machine. Benelli has plans to sell the Imperiale 400 in India by April 2018.
