The Italian motorcycle giants Ducati has unveiled their 2017 SuperSport at the ongoing 2016 Intermot motorcycle show in Cologne. This model was presented initially at the 2016 World Ducati Week, held at Misano, Italy. An adapted version of the iconic Testastretta 11° engine is used in the new edition. This new Ducati can be a day to day commuter as well as a track day motorcycle.
The new sporty design while keeping all racing elements simple has just made the SuperSport every road and every ride as a personal track day session.
The 937 cc engine produces a sumptuous 113 horsepower. The air-fuel mix intake volume is comparatively higher in the SuperSport as compared to other models which uses the same Testastretta engine. The SuperSport S is the much sportier version of the new model. Ducati offers three driving modes like Sport, Touring and Urban which can be seen in other models as well.
The 'S' version offers adjustable Ohlins shock and Ducati's quick shift mechanism. Both these models features Ducati traction control with 8 levels and 3 levels of ABS.
The two versions of SuperSport will hit the global markets by 2017 March. And for the Indian buyers it will be priced just below the 959 Panigale (costs 14 lakh).
