It's again time up for all Kawasaki fans across the country that the Japanese firm has landed its mid-sized naked street motorcycle in India. The bike was caught snapped in Pune Kawasaki dealership. However, it's an unofficial launching ceremony. The big day when the Z800 goes publicly unveiled will be noticed by the firm later. It's expected that the launch of the Z800 in Kawasaki outlets may happen by January 2014.
The Z800 will come to India via CKD route and the bike is expected to be priced around Rs. 8 lakh.
The bike is available in two trims – the Z800 e version and the Z800. India will have only the Z800. The Z800 is powered by an 806cc, Liquid-cooled, 4-stroke In-Line Four engine, which is capable to deliver a peak power of 83.0 kW {113 PS} / 10,200 rpm and a peak torque of 83.0 Nm {8.5 kgfm} / 8,000 rpm. It's coupled with a 6-speed, return transmission.
On the other hand, there is a rumour regarding the elder sibling in the class, the Z1000. The bike is likely to arrive in India by January 2014 and to go on sales later. It comes with a 1043cc, Liquid-cooled, 4-stroke In-Line Four, DOHC, 16 valves engine delivering stunning power of 101.5 kW @ 9,600 rpm and tremendous torque of 110 N-m @ 7,800 rpm. It is coupled with a 6 speed gearbox.
