Are you a KTM fanatic? Love superbikes more than anything? And have enough pennies to afford one? Then here is a great news for you that the Super Duke 1290 R is launching on 30th September, 2013. Since the debut of its prototype version that was introduced at the 2012 EICMA, in Milan, Italy, the bikers in the world were hoping for a quick arrival of KTM's flagship motorcycle in the outlets across the world. Unfortunately, several issues caused the firm to postpone the official launch of its most awaited motorbike.
It has been virally rumoured that the Super Duke 1290 R will be launched in two versions- Patriot and Racing. The Patriot variant is special edition for the US customers, which will be shaded just accordingly to the American national flag. On the other hand the Racing edition will be shaded just like an exact racing machine that missing headlight, having powerful exhaust attached with it. It's yet to be disclosed whether the firm will introduce a racing version for road use or not.
The Super Duke 1290 R will be listed as only among the premium machines in the one liter class. And we can certainly expect a higher price. It will certainly offer nightmares for Ducati Superbike 1199 Panigale.
Meanwhile, the firm has just uploaded a video teasing the machine. Although the clip lasts only 27 seconds, KTM has tried to pull out the nature if the bike with it.
