Yamaha Plans Leaning Multi Wheeler in 2014

The LMW will tag Rs. 6 lakh.

One of the biggest names in motorcycling, Yamaha Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd., confirmed that the company would launch Leaning Multi Wheeler (LMW) in 2014. Earlier, the Japanese firm had unveiled a concept of the four wheeled Tesseract leaning motorcycle at the 2007 Tokyo Motor Show. But, the upcoming LMW will be a three-wheeler machine like Piaggio MP3. Yamaha and LMW fanatics across the world will have their first option to see the much anticipated machine at the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show, in November. The LMW will also be showcased at the 2013 EICMA, in Milan, Italy. Chances can't also be neglected on its presence at the 2014 Auto Expo, in India.

The LMW is more than the fun we get while riding the two-wheelers or any off-roading machines. In fact it's a crossover that ensures motorcycle's riding pleasure with more stability and safety in a new pattern to have refreshing whiles. The machine is much handy for leisure, utility, sports and commuting rides.

Yamaha Tesseract Concept

It comes with a bigger fairing rather than the small fairing seen in the Tesseract. So the machine will be more aggressive. It will be equipped with a couple of thinner tyres at front and a single tyre at rear. This certifies more safety in corners and turns.

Mr. Hiroyuki Yanagi, President and Chief Executive Officer of Yamaha Motor told that the LMW would be priced at 1 million yen which is approximately Rs. 6 lakh. However, the company hasn't confirmed in which all parts the LMW will be available. India hasn't witnessed the launch of such machines yet. So, there is no hope for the vehicle to reach in India. But, the firm may launch, if they think that there is a loop for the LMW. The Indian market already does have All Terrain Vehicles (ATV). It is a success here.

Piaggio MP3

When the Yamaha LMV gets launched, it will be challenging burden to Piaggion MP3, ehich is the best selling vehicle in this class. The MP3 comes in two variants- the MP3 Yourban and the MP3 Touring Sport LT. While the Yourban is powered by a 278cc, Single cylinder, 4 stroke, engine, the Sport LT gets charged with a bigger 493cc, Master single cylinder with dual ignition, 4 stroke, 4 valve, electronic injection engine.
