The bike is placed just above the baby Kawasaki, the Ninja 250R. It is also assumed that the introduction behind the Ninja 300R is the increasing competition towards the Ninja 250R, which was earlier enjoying its dictatorship in the track.
Kawasaki Ninja 300R comes in two variants-Ninja 300R and Ninja 300R ABS. The non-ABS version is priced $4799, whereas the ABS version is tagged $5499 in the US market. Meanwhile, the Ninja 250R is priced $4449. That means a difference of just $350. So the Ninja 300R is expected to be priced approximately Rs.30,000 more than the existing Ninja 250R.
The Ninja 300R is way sportier than its rivals. In fact there is no genuine opponent for it. It comes with a 296cc four-stroke, liquid-cooled, DOHC, parallel twin engine, which ensures far superior power on highways and clearly dominant acceleration in comparison with other lightweight sportbikes. Thanks to the new Digital Fuel Injection (DFI) system which is mated with dual 32mm throttle bodies. It promises much improved fuel economy and less emission.
Kawasaki always bring stunning designs to make motorcycles a stared object. It is not different in the matter of the Ninja 300R. Its aggressive dual-lamp headlight adds a muscular ambience to it. The all new bodywork features an edgy design which marks the strong Ninja family DNA. The company has utilized high-tensile steel main tubes to mould up a new frame, which are 150% more rigid and provide a superior feel rather than the other lightweight superbikes.
Comparing with the Ninja 250R, the new 10-spoke 17-inch alloy wheel of the Ninja 300R looks entirely different. It not only gives a sporty feel but also promises safety and confidence to the rider with a half inch increased rear tire. The bike also suits very well for a short rider since it marks only a 30.9 inch height.
The Ninja 300R is expected to start ruling Indian roads in March 2013. The assumed on road price of the machine is Rs.3.7 lakh.
