Hero to Launch a 250cc Sportsbike in 2014

World's largest two wheeler manufacturer, Hero Motocorp is under huge experiments to ramp up its first Individual motorcycle after parting from Hero's erst while partner, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India, Private Limited (HMSI).



The bike will be equipped with a 250cc engine. It will also be the first 250cc motorcycle made by any Indian companies. However, further assistances are made by an American sport motorcycle consortium, Eric Buell Racing, under whose construction the upcoming 250cc motorcycle is being developed. The bike is expected to make its very first appearance in the 2014 Auto Expo.



"We realize the necessity of bigger engines in such a big two wheeler market like India. All 250 cc bikes which were recently launched and updated had already bagged attentions of millions of customers. And when country's most trusted motorcycle brand, Hero launches such a motorcycle, then that will be the greatest news to cherish all motorcycle maniacs. Moreover, we have a collaboration with world class sport motorcycle manufacturer, Eric Buell Racing. So the result will be the best ever" said CEO and MD of Hero Moto Corp, Pawan Munjal.

Kawasaki Ninja 250R, Hyosung GT250R and Honda CBR 250R are the only 250cc motorcycles available in India. When Hero unveils the 250cc bike, it will a huge burden for its competitors. Nevertheless, Hero hasn't revealed the name and technical specifications of the much anticipated 250cc two wheeler.
