Yamaha has come up with its FZ 25 earlier this year and it showcased a new 249cc Air cooled, 4-stroke, SOHC, 2-valve engine. The new offering produced a 20.9PS power at 8000rpm and 20.0Nm torque at 6000rpm. The taking of the new Fz was a surprise hit by Yamaha. The Fz was a great hit when it was first launched in India and so was the faired sibling Fazer.

Now, there is a hint of Yamaha coming with a new Fazer 250 as the FZ 25 is here and like all the Fazers that get the same engine as that of the Fz, the new motorcycle will also be powering the same 249cc single cylinder engine that powers FZ25 in India. The new Fazer will showcase a fuel injected, air-cooled engine that is mated to a six-speed gearbox. The mill churns out same power and torque as that of the FZ25 but the new Fazer 250 will be a little slower than the naked sibling owing to the added weight of the fairing.
This motorcycle will more likely to share most of the feature of the FZ25 that ranges from suspension, tyres, alloys, brakes and instrument cluster but the new Fazer 250 will be heavier than the naked FZ25 because of the added front fairing. As of now, there are no official reports hinting about the launch details of this bike but we can hope the new Fazer will hit soon in Indian roads soon. The price of this bike is expected to be more than the FZ25 due to the added front fairing, and the price of this bike will be around1.35 to 1.5 lakh Indian rupees.
