Aiming the working executives, Bajaj had recently launched its latest motorcycle, the Discover 125T. The bike is an absolute killer machine for its rivals. According to the strategy of Bajaj Auto, it's the 1st bike out of 6 Discover machines to be launched in equal interval of times. The Discover series had already bagged the title for the best selling motorcycle brand in the world by beating the Hero Splendor brand last year. Though it was retained by Hero MotoCorp, the introduction of the new bike and the upcoming bikes seems that everything is still in the hand of Bajaj.

Looks
The two bikes looks exactly like twins. You can't absolutely find any differences between them unless if you don't sullenly look at them. The only change you could figure out is the suspension. The all new Discover 125T comes up with a traditional Nitrox Twin (110 mm) shock absorbers at rear, while the Discover 125ST is mated with a Nitrox Monoshock with gas caniste rear suspension. The rest looks absolutely the same. Its signature muscular tank, unique 10 spoke alloy wheels, an optional petal disc brake, premium aluminium side sets, stylish headlight and tail lamp, well designed seat, unique exhaust and everything looks carving.
Engine and Performance
This is the next big thing that differentiates these bikes. The Discover 125T is powered by a 124.6cc, Single cylinder, 4-Valve, DTS-i engine. Meanwhile, the Discover 125ST is packed with a 124.6cc, 4 Valve Twin Spark Air Cooled DTS-i engine. It's also the first commuter bike to be equipped with the 4 Valve Twin Spark DTS-i engine. So definitely the Discover 125ST is outplays the Discover 125T with its superior world class engine.
The Discover 125ST delivers a peak power of 13 Ps @ 9000 rpm and peak torque of 10.8 Nm @ 7000 rpm, while the Discover 125T generates comparatively lesser power of 12.5 ps @ 9000 rpm and torque of 10.8 Nm @ 6500 rpm. So with the engine, power, and torque, the Discover 125ST has the numbers on paper to own the Discover 125T in terms of performance. At the same time, the top speed of both bikes remains the same as 105 kmph.
Riding Comfort
Both the machines are equipped with the same ergonomics. It has the same lengthy seat, foot rests, and handle bar. Well, there is something that makes the ride completely different. It is the shock absorber. The Discover 125ST comes with a segment first gas-charged Nitrox Monoshock. This ensures a rich drive which is offered in a premium bikes. Meanwhile, the Discover 125T is alright with the traditional Nitrox Twin Shock suspension. It deals to give only a normal pleasure while driving. Well, the handling remains almost the same. And again it's the same Discover 125ST wins the race.
Mileage
Bajaj offers a mileage of 77.1 kmpl for the Discover 125T under standard conditions. Meanwhile, the Discover 125ST is expected to provide 75 kmpl under standard conditions. So, there is nothing much difference much found in case of economy. Above all the mileage depends upon the drive the riders does.
Pricing
The Discover 125ST is priced at Rs. 56,026 (with front disc, ex-showroom Delhi), and the Discover 125T is priced at Rs. 55,500 (with front disc, ex-showroom Delhi), and Rs. 52,500 (without disc, ex-showroom Delhi). This defines that if you want the bike without disc brake, you can opt the Discover 125T which is priced lesser. Both the bikes with front disc brake shows only a difference of Rs. 500. So spending Rs. 500 extra can earn you the best Discover 125ST.
Verdict
Both bikes are crafted for daily commuter riders. Both looks the same. Well, the riding experience is little bit different. The Discover 125ST gives you the best comparatively. It has slightly better power, better suspension, and thus better riding and handling comfy. It is offered only in front disc brake. While, the Discover 125T comes with and without disc brake. So if you could spend Rs. 3000 more and to own the Discover 125ST, that would be the best deal.
