Failing to impress the commuter riders, Bajaj Auto Limited announced that it stopped the production of motorcycles, the Boxer 150 and the Platina 125.
"We produced 8,000 units of the Boxer 150 last month and all of it was for the export market. We are discontinuing model in the domestic market and so does the Platina 125" said Mr. K Srinivas, the President of Motorcycle Business of Bajaj Auto while addressing the media.
Frankly, both bikes were the cheapest in their class. However, due to the lack of publicity and advertisement, Bajaj couldn't make these two wheelers stood out before crowd.
At present the company focusses on Diwali festive season which is to be on soon. The consortium aims a boost of 10% growth in sales in those days.
Mr. Srinivas also added that the company was working on a 100cc bike, which is expected to be launched by the end of this financial year.
