Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India, Private Limited (HMSI), the leading class of Indian scooter segment is likely to introduce its ever first 125cc scooter in the Indian two wheeler market. Even though, Honda owns several international 125cc scooters such as S-Wing, SH 125i, PS 125i and PCX125, those already proved their abilities in the world market, are merely helpless to Honda's lack of having a 125cc scooter in the world's second largest motorcycle market, India. After the successful trade of Activa, the company had unveiled a 150cc geared scooter, Eterno. Sadly, it couldn't grab customers alike Activa and resulted in its withdrawal.
Later Honda acquainted Dio and Aviator to the pavilion. At times, all three scooters had upgraded versions. But realizing the real fact that these upgrade won't satisfy riders who love powerful scooters. Hence the company was led to a research for 125cc engine which has to be specially designed for Indian customers who not only love power but also economy.
The rumours have been pulled out now that Honda is coming with a 125cc scooter coded, K24A which will be suiting Aviator's platform. More interestingly, Honda has invented a new 125cc automatic engine which is simultaneously more powerful and more fuel efficient by 25%, when it is compared with its rival engines. The engine has been named, the 'Idle Stop System' (ISP). In fact it's just alike the 'Stop-Start' system used in modern cars to save energy. The new liquid-cooled, 125cc, 4-stroke engine is lighter, more compact and packed with low-friction as to chop up a new renaissance in two wheeler world. Definitely, this would be a good rival to Access, Swish, Vespa and Rodeo.
