Looks
Discover ST, as the name suggests the bike is sports tourer meets two requirements; city commuting as well as highway spree, so a sporty look was the perfect choice of the bike maker. That is not it, when you see the previous two versions of Discover the present one has taken a huge leap in this regard. The front fairing and the headlamp is good mix of the old and the new Pulsar. The nicely etched mudguard enhances the front of the bike. Even the fuel tank gets a splendid design and the rider's knees get a wonderful support, overall the Discover ST is all about redefining the minor details of bike-making be it the petal discs at the front, bar end weights and the alloy wheels add to the charming factor of the bike. The central section and the rear end of the bike might not please you much; the silver plastic piece with '4-valve' etched on it looks out of the place at the center and the overextended mudguard at the rear is not very great. And may be inclusion of rev counter on the speedo console would be good, as the bike delivers excellent performance.
Engine, performance and mileage
The Bajaj Discover 125 ST is braced with 124.58cc, twin spark, and an engine with 4-valve cylinder that delivers a power of 13 PS at 9000 rpm and torque of 10.78 Nm @ 6500 rpm. And any rider would love to sing tunes of this kind of power deliverance because this 125 cc generates power that is equivalent to any 150 cc bike or it could be a little more. While flaunting such power on its sleeve Discover ST's 5-speed gearbox the bike is like cool breeze while riding. The non-commuting speed ranges between 60-80 kmph and I must say the new Discover is absolute performer. The nitrox mono shock suspension unit is a must mention here, and the combination of a rigid chassis enables agility to the bike.
The Discover ST offers a mileage of around 60 kmpl in the city and 67-68 kmpl on the highways.

Colors
The Bajaj Discover ST is available in grey, black, blue and red.
Verdict
Discover ST is a performer and would bet all my money solely for that reason, of course there are other factors such as the looks, mileage and the price, well I would say it is not a ugly duckling by any stretch of your imagination, just a few glitches in a couple of regions that is it. Else, a seasoned rider would tell you all exactly how a performance-oriented bike will feel while riding the Discover ST.
