With much surprise, the Hero MotorCorp has unveiled their new off-road adventure bike concept, Xpulse in the Eicma motor show 2017 at Milan. The Xpulse will be a follow up to their off-roader Impulse motorcycle and marks the desire of the company to expand to motorcycles with bigger engine capacities.
The Xpulse concept looks like a very practical off-road bike with fly mudguards, narrow and streamlined body shape, with long suspension travel and a very comfortable off-road friendly riding position. The Xpluse is speculated to carry a 200cc single-cylinder engine and will have ABS braking at the front and rear. The showcased concept motorcycle comes with interesting details like a very well raised handlebar, rigid spoked wheels, knobby tyres, auxiliary lamps, leg guards, side panniers along with impressive paint jobs.
"We are constantly developing Concepts for the future - keeping in mind global trends and customer aspirations. I am sure the Adventure Concept motorcycle XPulse gives you a directional guidance on the path that Hero is going to ride on in the future. We created this segment in India a few years ago and we feel it is about time that we start conceptualizing some new thoughts and ideas in this space. And in keeping with the rising global stature of Brand Hero, we are creating such concepts not just with the Indian user in mind, but also with a focus on the evolved global markets." said, The Hero MotoCorp - Chairman, Managing Director and CEO, Pawan Munjal.
Hero hasn't revealed the full specification and details of the new off-roader and the touring friendly version of the Xpluse which the company is also working under with. The company has plans to launch the Xpluse concepts in the global market very soon, and when it gets launched in India, it will lock horns with Royal Enfield Himalayan and also attracts huge competition from Kawasaki, KTM and Suzuki in the global market.
