The Himalayan will get the FI but ABS is ditched for the Indian units
Royal Enfiled, one of the oldest motorcycle company still in production came up with its flagship Himalayan in early 2016. The Himalayan has been a dream production for the English born Indian company and was also a much awaited off-road motorcycle by many.
Being the first indian origin off-road motorcycle, the Himalayan did catch the attention of many motorcycle enthusiasts and riders in the nation. The new industrial design, Half-duplex split cradle frame, a much higher ground clearance and a mono-shock suspension gave a purpose friendly mountain bike like look to this motorcycle. The styling and character of this flagship stood out from the classic range of motorcycles ever produced by the company.
Despite being a first of a kind bread, Himalayan was also met with much criticism for its poor production and build quality by many and Royal Enfiled was fixing things up for a while.
Now, the Himalayan is getting a fuel injection technology along with the 411 cc Single Cylinder, 4 strokes, Air cooled, SOHC engine. The new units in production will cover the faults existed in the older ones but the much wanted ABS feature will not be coming to this bike. Even though the international version of Himalayan has FI and ABS, the company will only push Himalayan units with FI as of now, and the ABS variants will take time some time to reach in India.
