The Austrian motorcycle manufacturer KTM has launched the Indian made RC 390 in the USA. This motorcycle shares the same specs of the 2017 model RC 390 made by KTM and Bajaj Auto, which got launched earlier this year in India.
The 2017 model RC 390 gets a 373.3cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine with fuel-injection technology. The motorcycle produces a peak power of 43.5 bhp and 36 Nm of torque and comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The RC 390 also features a slipper-clutch which can be seen in premium sports bikes.
The 2017 RC 390 sports a side mounted canister exhaust as opposed to the underbelly exhaust seen on the old models. There is an upside down WP forks placed at the front and a mono-shock at the rear for smooth suspension. KTM still retains the old orange backlit instrument console as seen on the old models in the 2017 RC 390 and with the newly added exhaust, the motorcycle now weighs 147 kgs. There are many other features added to the RC 390 like ride-by-wire, adjustable clutch and brake levers, wider rear-view mirrors and projector headlamps. This motorcycle gets a bigger 320 mm front disc brake and comes with ABS as a standard fitting.
The new RC 390 has been launched in USA and share the same specifications of the RC 390 sold in India.
