Hero MotoCorp Remains as the Best Two Wheeler Company in the World

Reporting a record sales figure of 61,20,259 two-wheelers sold in the calendar year 2012, Hero once again remains as the world's largest two-wheeler manufacturer. This is for the 14th consecutive year Hero holds the same title. The new record sales figure is the best ever yearly sales by this Indian company.



“Throughout the year, we have been setting new benchmarks on the sales front. We created a new record by registering 6.25 lakh sales in October 2013, becoming the first-ever manufacturer to cross landmark 6 lakh unit sales in India in a month. Another major highlight was the record festive season sales of 1.2 million units in Oct'13-Nov'13. Going forward, we have put together plans to further consolidate our leadership position,” said Mr. Anil Dua, Senior Vice President (Marketing and Sales) Hero MotoCorp Ltd.



The year 2014 is a much hopeful year for Hero. The firm has already bought stake in Erik Buell racing. So we can certainly at least an entry level sport bike that can challenge CBR250R, and Ninja 300 from EBR-Hero partnership. On the other hand as confirmed earlier, the company is up to launch a bunch of updated models and new models in this year.
