Austrian auto giant KTM and the Indian biggie Bajaj motors is together going to rock the Indian two wheeler market with the launch of power bikes like KTM Duke 350. To achieve their objective of strongly launching KTM Bikes in India company is focusing its marketing strategy starting from grass root level.
It is heard that the company's much awaited KTM Duke 200 will be launched in the Indian Auto Expo 2012. Reports say that, after the launch of KTM Duke 200 the company will come up with more powerful KTM Duke 350 and KTM 600 in India.
Other KTM bikes that will be introduced in Indian market will be RC8 and Super Duke. It is heard that KTM Duke 350 will be produced in India itself and the KTM Duke 690 is expected to be brought via CKD route.
According to industry experts, company is speculating on pricing policy to be adopted for KTM Duke 350, which is designed similar to its erstwhile sibling KTM Duke 200 and is energized with Freeride 350's engine. There are rumors that as KTM Duke 350 is designed on same platform of KTM Duke 200 its engine will available throughout the world.
Reports says that Bajaj Auto is speculating to minimize the production cost of KTM Duke 350 and plans to price it close to Rs 2 lakh. Yamaha R15 and Honda CBR 250R that dominate Indian bike market as far 200 to 250 cc segment will surely face a tough and tight competition from KTM.
