X-ADV is an adventure motorcycle with the practicality of a scooter
The Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer Honda has showcased the 2018 Honda X-ADV model at the 75th EICMA festival at Milan. It is a multi-functional motorcycle or simply can be called as an adventure scooter with its unique aesthetic and mechanical features to underline its go anywhere attitude.
The 2018 X-ADV looks pretty much closer to its predecessor with a slew of upgrades. Everything about the new X-ADV is largely inspired by the mighty Africa Twin. Upfront, it looks like a shortened Africa Twin available in a scooter format. It features Africa Twin handguards, 5-way adjustable screen, all LED lighting system, smart key activation, aluminium handlebars and rally-style instrument console. X-ADV has been designed as an off-road scooter by keeping the practical features of a day to day commuter two-wheeler. Therefore, it gets an elevated stance for maximum ground clearance, rugged body and tyres, upswept aluminium exhaust, comfortable seats and foldable footrests. Moreover, X-ADV gets 21-litre under seat storage space which highlights the utility of this scooter.
Honda X-ADV is powered by 745cc, liquid-cooled, twin-cylinder engine delivering a maximum power of 54 Bhp and peak torque of 68 Nm which is mated to 6-speed DCT automatic transmission box for seamless commuting. Furthermore, X-ADV is also available in 46 Bhp version for A2 license holders in Europe. It also gets ABS as a standard feature along with, Honda Selectable Traction Control (HSTC), G Engine mapping, 17-inch front wheels and high travel front and rear suspension.
