A word from the management
Tsutsumu Otani, the Managing Director, President & CEO of HMSI, expressed his optimism about the motorcycle's prospects in India. He mentioned that the adventure motorcycle segment is growing, and the XL750 Transalp is expected to resonate well with Indian adventure enthusiasts.
Design and features
Drawing inspiration from the iconic Transalp models of the 1980s, the XL750 Transalp comes with a compact LED headlamp, integrated windscreen, and expansive tank shrouds. The rear part of the bike includes an aluminum carrier, designed to meet the needs of adventure riders. The motorcycle also features a five-inch TFT instrument console that displays a range of information, including speed, gear position, and fuel consumption.
Connectivity and safety
The TFT display is not just for show; it's customizable and can be controlled via the switchgear on the left handlebar. The bike also offers a voice control system that syncs with the rider’s smartphone, allowing for hands-free management of calls, messages, and navigation. Safety features include an emergency stop signal that activates hazard lights during sudden braking and an automatic turn signal canceling function.
Performance specs
The XL750 Transalp is powered by a 755 cc liquid-cooled inline two-cylinder engine, generating a maximum power of 67.5 kW and 75 Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to a six-speed transmission and features patented technology like Vortex flow ducts and Nickel-Silicon Carbide (Ni-SiC) cylinder coating. The bike also offers a throttle-by-wire system with five riding modes: Sport, Standard, Rain, Gravel, and User.
Wheels and brakes
The motorcycle rides on a 21-inch front wheel and an 18-inch rear wheel, both with spokes. Braking is managed by dual 310 mm wave discs at the front and a 256 mm single disc at the rear.
Color options
The XL750 Transalp is available in two color variants: Ross White and Matte Ballistic Black.
Conclusion
With its launch, the Honda XL750 Transalp is set to stir the adventure motorcycle segment in India. Its blend of features, performance, and safety make it a compelling option for those looking to explore both urban landscapes and off-road terrains.
