Honda 2W India Rolls Out 2023 CB200X at Rs. 1.47 Lakh: Elevating Urban Exploration with BS6 P2 Compliance

Honda 2W India has recently introduced the 2023 CB200X, a motorcycle that combines urban exploration with advanced engineering. Priced at Rs. 1.47 lakh (ex-showroom), the bike is designed to meet the needs of the modern rider, offering both style and substance.

Engine and Emission Standards

The 2023 CB200X is powered by a 184.4cc single-cylinder engine that complies with the latest BS6 P2 emission norms. The engine generates a peak power of 12.7 kW at 8,500 RPM and a peak torque of 15.9 N-m at 6,000 RPM. It also features OBD-II diagnostics, allowing for real-time monitoring and alerts for any malfunctions.

Design and Comfort

Inspired by the CB500X ADV, the CB200X boasts a sleek design with features like full LED headlights, gold-finished USD telescopic front forks, and knuckle guard-mounted LED turn indicators. The bike offers an upright handlebar, providing a relaxed riding posture. Additionally, it comes with a windshield that offers protection against wind blasts at higher speeds.

Handling and Safety

The bike is built on an agile diamond frame and features USD telescopic front forks and rear mono-shock suspension for impressive handling. Safety features include a petal disc setup at the front and rear, along with a single-channel ABS system. The bike also features a slip and assist clutch, reducing wheel hopping during downshifts.

Additional Features

The CB200X comes with a fully digital instrument cluster that offers adjustable brightness. However, it lacks Bluetooth connectivity. The bike is available in three color options: Decent Blue Metallic (new), Pearl Nightstar Black, and Sports Red.

While the 2023 CB200X offers a range of features and upgrades, it faces competition from bikes like the Hero Xpulse 200 4V, which offers more off-road capabilities. Nonetheless, Honda aims to capture the urban explorer market with this new offering.
