This retro-classic cafe racer is priced at Rs 23 Lakhs
Norton is one of the oldest motorcycle brands which still continue to manufacture motorcycles. Earlier, Norton has announced the India venture by joining hands with the Kinetic group. Commando 961 Cafe Racer is the first offering from this British brand. It will come to India via CBU route. This new high performing motorcycle will be available with a pricetag of Rs 23 lakhs (ex-showroom Pune). One can book this motorcycle for Rs 2 lakhs.
The Norton Commando 961 Cafe Racer is a modern-retro classic bike which sports styling and design features from the past. It features sculpted fuel tank, classic round headlamp with small windscreen, upswept dual muffler and single saddle. It draws a maximum power of 80 Ps and peak torque of 90 Nm from the powerful 961cc, parallel twin engine.
For the time being, the dealers will only import a fixed number of units depending upon the bookings received. However, Norton Motorcycles had previously made a partnership with an Indian firm called Motoroyale and they are planning to manufacture the motorcycle in the Indian soil from the end of 2019 or from the beginning of 2020.
