The Suzuki Motorcycles India bravely entered the cruiser market with the much exciting Intruder 150. This entry-level cruiser motorcycle is priced at Rs 98, 340 (ex-showroom New Delhi).
Without any doubt, it is clear that this Intruder has been inspired by the bigger Intruder M1800. It gets the same projector headlamp, fenders and LED taillights of the larger Intruder. The makers had tried their best to keep this motorcycle bulky as possible. Look wise, one cannot ignore this bossing machine for sure. Road presence of this motorcycle is massive and daring.
On moving to the technical department, Intruder 150 underpins the 154.9cc mill and 5-speed gearbox from the Suzuki Gixxer range. Along with the powertrain, the front fork, rear swingarm, the front and rear tyre with disc brakes are also used in the Intruder 150. However, Intruder 150 gets ABS as a standard option.Altogether, the new Intruder 150 is a small-affordable version of the mighty M1800 Intruder bearing the heart of a Gixxer. Moreover, it gets all the cruiser elements such as typical set forward foot pegs, raised handlebar, split-comfort rider and pillion saddle, shrouds and body panels. The digital instrument console is exactly the same as that of Gixxer.
The Suzuki Intruder 150 will be going up against the popular Bajaj Avenger Street 150. So far, it is the only cruiser available in the Indian market under 1 Lakhs. With the introduction of Gixxer 150 on the Indian soil, now Bajaj has to dig deeper to compete with the engine refinement and build quality of Suzuki.
