The ace Japanese bike maker Suzuki to launch a brand new motorcycle in India. This time, they are going to dig the much popular cruiser segment in the market. It is their iconic cruiser motorcycle 'Intruder' to get featured in a new avatar bearing a lower capacity engine. According to some close related sources, Suzuki Intruder 150 will be launched on 7th of November.
For the past couple of years, there is a tremendous growth in the demand for cruiser motorcycle in the country. Moreover, Bajaj Avenger and UM Renegade motorcycles are the only players in this category. Taking this as an advantage, Suzuki is featuring their international cruiser with a soul of their best selling machine, Gixxer 150. The Intruder 150 gets 154.9cc, single cylinder, air cooled engine delivering 14.8 Ps power and 14 Nm of torque. It uses the same 5-speed gearbox found in the entire Gixxer clan. Moreover, it gets disc brakes at both the ends along with telescopic fork up front and swingarm type suspension at the rear. According to the leaked brochure images, the Intruder is expected to have ABS option. However, the absence Fuel Injection system, which is found in the Gixxer Fi variant is not found in the cruiser.
From spy photos and leaked brochure images, the Intruder looks like a different animal. Unlike the minimalistic looks of Avenger Street 150, the Intruder features a bossing stance with a large muscular body. The projector headlamp will definitely steal away the first stance. The large aerodynamically shaped fuel tank, LED tail lamp, sporty twin exhaust and comfy split saddle are other notable features of this bike.
