Yamaha has revealed a three-wheeled motorcycle at 2017 Tokyo Motor Show
Motor Shows often host place for concept models as well as some weird-unusual displays. Yes, the ongoing Tokyo Motor show has witnessed such a dramatic display from the home player 'Yamaha'. It was the brand new 'Niken', a three-wheeled production motorcycle which has taken the center stage of 2017 Tokyo Motor Show on Wednesday.
Niken is based on the hugely popular Yamaha MT-09 platform to become the brand's first leaning production three-wheeled motorcycle. It is equipped with LMV (Leaning-Multi-Wheeler) technology to provide an extra stability when cornering. The body design is fully focused on the front-end suspension comprising of dual tube USD forks with a pair of 15-inch wheels.
This finely crafted suspension system helps in enhancing the sporty performance and high-quality looks to this machine. Niken is powered by liquid-cooled, in-line 3-cylinder, CP3 engine with advanced fuel injection system. The company is yet to reveal its power, torque and various performance figures of the Niken. Apart from the two wheels at the front, the headlight, fuel tank, seat, rear fender and everything of the bike appears similar to a conventional motorcycle.
