The DSK Benelli 302R is priced at Rs 3.48 lakhs ex-showroom New Delhi
The DSK Benelli has officially launched their latest offering 302R in India. Earlier, this model was showcased at 2016 Auto Expo bearing a moniker Tornado 302. The new 302R will be the first full faired entry level motorcycle from the Italian brand. This exciting piece of machine is available at a staggering price tag of Rs 3.48 lakhs (ex-showroom New Delhi).
The bike sticks close to the naked TNT 300, which is already available in the Indian premises with a pricing of Rs 2.83 lakhs (ex-showroom New Delhi), which shares a majority of mechanical features with the brand new 302R. However, the new 302R is distinctly a new motorbike with a slew of cosmetic changes from the naked sibling. It includes the new, redesigned Trellis Frame with 50:50 weight distribution and the new double sided swingarm with re-positioned foot pegs which enhances the aggressive styling of the bike. It measures 2175 mm in length and 746 mm wider with a height of 1146 mm.
Despite the aesthetic upgrades of 302R, it continues to draw the power from 300cc, in-line 2 cylinder, liquid-cooled, 4-stroke engine that delivers a maximum power of 38.2 bhp @ 11500 rpm and a peak torque of 26.5 Nm @ 10000 rpm. This BS-IV compliant engine is teamed with a 6-speed constant mesh transmission box for optimum power distribution.
The new Benelli 302R is available in White Rosso, Red Nero and Silver Verde colour options. However, the 302R is awaiting a fierce challenge from the 2017 Kawasaki Ninja 300, KTM RC 390 and is about to even rise when Yamaha launches their YZF-R3 as well. The prior booking of the model has already started a month ago and the delivery is expected to start from the next month.
