The updated Ninja 1000 is available at an introductory price of Rs 9.98 lakhs ex-showroom pan India
After the introduction of models like Z650, Z900 and the 2017 Ninja 300 and 650, Kawasaki India has revealed their brand new Ninja 1000 for the year 2017. It available at an introductory price tag of Rs 9.98 lakhs ex-showroom pan India. However, the Japanese makers had positioned this bike as a sports tourer rather than a premium sports bike. It is one of the two remaining models that needed a model update in this year.
The new update includes many new features like taller windscreen, wider fairings and new instrument console consists of analogue tachometer and multifunctional display system. From its predecessor, it looks sharper and aggressive in styling. The new improved LED headlamp offers better illumination by only consuming half the power. The 2017 Ninja 1000 is equipped with advanced features like Kawasaki Cornering Management Function, Kawasaki ABS, Kawasaki Traction Control, Manual Power Selection Mode, Assist & Slipper Clutch and the 4-into-2-pre-chamber-into-2 exhaust layout. Moreover, the bike got 6-axis IMU system that controls traction and ABS, even when the bike is leaned over.
This green monster bears the BS-IV compliant 1043cc, 4-stroke, in-line-four-cylinder engine that delivers a maximum power of 142 bhp @ 10000 rpm and a peak torque of 111 Nm @ 7300 rpm. The new Ninja 1000 has been built with highly rigid aluminium twin tube frame which ensures firm handling and balance while cornering with a high degree of mass centralisation.
The authorised dealers across the country have already accepted the booking of new Ninja 1000 along with the Kawasaki Z900, which was launched earlier this year.
