This new offering is priced at Rs 78,368 ex-showroom New Delhi
The Indian two-wheeler maker has launched their latest offering Pulsar NS 160 in India. This new Pulsar almost looks like its elder sibling NS 200. It is priced at Rs 78,368 (ex-showroom New Delhi) and prior booking has been already started at some dealerships in the country. With the launch of NS 160, it quietly replaces the current selling Pulsar 150 from the lineup. However, it is the first bike to be introduced in the Indian market after the commence of GST (Goods Service Tax) system in India.
It is pretty difficult to distinguish between the two of the 'NS' models as the 160 borrows almost all the cosmetic outfits of the 200, apart from the front decal with the writings of 'NS 160'. Other functional changes of NS 160 are, smaller front and rear disc brakes, kick start option and altogether it is 10kg lighter than NS 200. The bike uses newly developed 160.3cc, liquid-cooled, 4-stroke engine mated to a 5-speed constant mesh gearbox. The mill delivers a maximum power of 15.5 bhp @ 8500 rpm and a peak torque of 14.6 Nm @ 6500 rpm. Moreover, it is a BS-IV compliant engine with less pollution and improved efficiency.
This new offering is available in Red, Blue and White in Black combinations. The Pulsar 'Naked Sport 160' is likely to horns with the much popular Honda CB Hornet, Suzuki Gixxer and Yamaha FZ Fi models.
