DSK group has launched their latest avatar from Hyosung motorcycles in India last week. Their new offering is a quarter-litre cruiser named Aquila 250. This particular model will be sold as a limited edition with 3 new colors like Carbon Black, Desert Brown and Matte Green colors.
Aquila 250 is already a part of Hyosung range of motorcycles here in India. The newly launched Aquila too uses the same 250cc, 4-stroke, V-twin, oil-cooled engine, which is capable of delivering 26.21 bhp of top power @ 9500 rpm and a peak torque of 21.37 Nm @ 7500 rpm. Engine is meshed up with a 5-speed gearbox for optimum power transmission using chain drive. Like the ongoing model, a telescopic suspension at the front and hydraulic double shock absorber is used at the rear. Stopping force of this cruiser depends on hydraulic disc brake at the front and conventional drum brake at the rear. With a kerb weight of 179kg and a fuel tank capacity of 14 litres, this happens to be a perfect crusier with all essential ingredients for a long ride.
Like all other models of Hyosung, this one too is available as a CKD unit (Completely Knocked Down). Cruiser segment in the country is hugely undertaken by Royal Enfield Thunderbird and Bajaj Avenger series. Both these Indians are priced very low when compared to Aquila 250. The only 250cc cruiser bike is priced at Rs 2.94 lakhs (ex-showroom New Delhi).
