The most popular and desired bike brand of India the Royal Enfield, has launched a new series of motorcycle named, the Classic 350 Redditch Series. It is actually an updated version of their best seller Classic 350. This new model is named after the town Redditch in UK. The new model consists of three variants with new paint jobs inspired from the early 1950s where, RE used to produce motorcycles from the Redditch factory.
This new edition consists of three new models named, Redditch Red, Redditch Blue and Redditch Green. All the new colors adds more retro looks to the classic 350. Moreover, the new color only covers the fuel tank and rest of the vehicle uses black and chrome paint jobs. A Royal Enfield Redditch monogram is also imposed in the new model, which reminds the REs of 1930s. Other than that, nothing mechanically or cosmetically changed from the original Classic 350. The bike uses same 350cc, air-cooled engine, mated with a 5-speed gearbox and draws 19bhp of maximum power and 28Nm of peak torque. Chassis, suspension, braking and electrical features are same with Classic 350.
Mr. Rudratej Singh, the President of Royal Enfield has said, “Royal Enfield launched the Classic models in 2008 based on the popular J2 model, as we always has taken inspiration from our rich heritage in classic motorcycles. The use of Redditch monogram makes the Redditch model more special and it revives our association with motorcycles produced from Redditch factory", after introducing the model.
The booking of this latest Classic will starts from January 7th of 2017 with a pricing of Rs 1.46 lakhs (on-road New Delhi) which is slightly above Classic 350. But this new looking Enfield has already gained mass attention and this will boost the sales of Enfield motorcycles even more. After all, many Enfield lovers are fed up with old paint jobs of the motorcycle and even started customizing their own rides to change this.
Redditch Edition is the updated version of original classic 350, with three new paint jobs.
