Triumph has launched the new member of their Bonneville family, the new T100. This new retro style motorcycle is priced at Rs 7.78 lakh (Delhi ex-showroom). The motorcycle was introduced at the 2016 Intermot Motorcycle Festival held in Cologne, Germany. It is inspired from the classic 1959 Bonneville.
The 2016 Triumph Street Twin's 900 cc engine is featured in this new motorcycle combining chassis from the new Bonneville T120. The 900 cc liquid cooled parallel- twin cylinder engine with fuel injection is capable of delivering 54 bhp @ 5,900 rpm and 80 Nm of torque @ 3,230 rpm. The engine is mated with a 5 speed gear box, delivers 22% more power in the mid range as compared to previous models.
The new T100 gets the Triumph's authentic twin-pod instrument cluster, which features gear position indicator, fuel level, range to empty other than the speedometer and tachometer. Even though it is a retro style, old looking classic motorcycle, it features many technologies like ABS, switchable traction control, torque assist clutch, engine immobilizer, ride-by-wire mechanism, rear LED lights and USB charging ports.
The association of Pirelli with Bonneville continues in this new bike as well. The new Phantom Sports tyres are made for Bonneville family and it is also featured in new T100 which enhances superior handling.
