Triumph Tiger 800 XR Set To Take On The Toughest Roads

Triumph has brought in its latest offering in the adventure motorcycle segment – the Triumph Tiger 800 XR. The 800 XR is a fully fledged off-road and touring motorcycle, equipped with all the latest gadgetry besides the exhilarating performance of the Triumph engine.





Triumph's first adventure tagged bike was the Tiger Explorer XC, a massive 1215cc engine powering the beast, equipped with goodies ranging from dual-channel ABS, selective riding modes, cruise control and what not. Triumph has indeed put all the good stuff found on the XC on the XR as well, all but a few minor things like heated seats and heated hand grips not finding a place on the list. Compared to the 3-cylinder 1215cc engine found on the XC that produces 137PS of power and 121Nm of Torque, the 800cc (3-cylinder) XR produces 95PS of power and 79Nm of Torque, not bad for an adventurer of this size. The arrival of the new Tiger will be split into 3 variants: XR, XRX and XCX, with only a few standard equipment separating them. Moreover, Triumph allows its customers to personally configure their bike of choice with additional upgrades and performance tweaks on offer.



Triumph's tryst with India has been a successful one, now in its infancy in the Indian market, the company was able to sell almost 2,000 or more units of its motorcycles, across all ranges! That's an incredible feat, considering the fact that they offer premium, top of the line motorcycles.





For now, the latest offering, the Tiger 800XR, will be given a price tag of Rs 10,50,000 (ex-showroom Delhi). Triumph India is keen on spreading its wings and increasing its market presence as more buyers are looking to invest in performance motorcycles and at the same time taking a non-conservative path of motorcycling.
