British premium motorcycle manufacturer, Triumph Motorcycles, revealed the 2014 Speed Triple R. To keep going along with the current generation motorcycle world and to stand firm against the rivals, Triumph had done some alterations to the all new updated motorbike.
The all new 2014 Speed Triple R is updated with a switchable Anti-Lock Braking System as standard which was optional in the 2013 edition. Being available in Matte Caspian White, Caspian Blue and Phantom Black colours, the Speed Triple R is more than aggressive and for sure gets paid attention. Red pin-stripes in wheels, red cover over the radiator, and body-coloured fly-screen and seat cowl are the new updates seen on the machine. Meanwhile, a clear lens tail light and a blacked out exhaust shield embellish out the sportiness of the 2014 version.
However, the firm hasn't done any alters with the engine and chassis. The 2014 Triumph Speed Triple R carries the same heart, 1050cc, Liquid-cooled, 12 valve, DOHC, in-line 3-cylinder engine, and delivers a handsome power of 133 bhp @ 9400 rpm and a roaring torque of 111 Nm @ 7750 rpm. Its engine is coupled with a 6-speed gear transmission.
Replacing the expensive forged aluminium rims, the 2014 edition machine is now run with cast aluminium wheels, which helped to bring down the price tag of the 2014 Speed Triple R from £11,299 to £10,999 (~ Rs. 11 lakh).
