It seems that the launch of KTM 390 Duke has set fire to its rival HMSI. Soon after the launch of the 390 Duke, Honda sent offer letters to its dealers across the nation theming the firm would launch new colors of the CBR 250R including the flagship variant of the 250R, the Repsol Edition soon. The new shades are expected to reach Honda stores by next month. Last year, we had reported the coming of the same.
The CBR 250R Repsol Edition is priced at Rs. 1.93 lakh, the ABS version tags Rs. 1.87 lakh, while the Standard variant is available for Rs. 1.57 lakh (all are ex-showroom Delhi prices).
The Repsol Edition of the CBR 250R is packed with ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) option, and a unique MotoGP racing graphics. This makes the bike to outshine among its rivals. Along with the stunning body graphics, its alloy wheel also gets orange shade.
Meanwhile, the other existing shades Candy Ruby Red x Accurate Silver Metallic, Pearl Heron Blue (Tricolor), Asteroid Black metallic x Accurate Silver Metallic get some minor alteration works and transformed to Sports Red, Pearl Sunbeam White, and Sports Black colors respectively.
Nevertheless, there is no other retouch done. It comes with the same 249.6cc, Liquid cooled, 4 stroke, DOHC 4 Valve, SI engine, which delivers gorgeous power of 25 bhp @ 8500 rpm and a whooping torque of 22.9 Nm @ 7000 rpm. Its engine is coupled with a 6-speed gear, Constant mesh transmission.
Mated with Telescopic fork and Pro-link suspension, the CBR 250R offers one of the class leading comforts on it. Powered by disc brake on each wheel and ABS as optional, you can have the best in class braking.
It has a 13 liter fuel tank and weighs 167 Kg. The average mileage of the bike is 32 kmpl. While, its top speed is 165+ kmph.
So far it's been a great year for HMSI. The firm had launched a good number of two-wheelers in India. And the newly shaded CBR 250R will the latest machine to hit Honda stores. Earlier, Honda had vowed that the firm would become the best two-wheeler player in the Indian market by 2015-16.
It is for sure that many more are going to be launched by Honda this year itself and many more are under construction as well.
Along with the Repsol Edition, Honda brings minute color and graphics changes to the rest models.
